Border Bearded

Tall Bearded
ARTIST'S PALLETTE `00 38" ML. Very large wide ruffled flower with domed standards and touch of lace. Standards are violet with touch of brown in midrib and purple rim. Falls are mainly butterscotch with a lighter edge, and wide amber yellow patch at the front of the falls. Additional colours are brown shoulders with white haft lines, and wide feathered violet band running from end of butterscotch beard to near edge of falls. Falls have olive highlights. There is a thin chocolate rim around edge of falls. In addition to this the underside of the falls are very light cream with the buds being pale cream only to open to this surprising mix of colours. Species Cross
CAST ASHORE `98 ML 30" ML. Collected plant from the Georgian Bay Ontario. It has proven to be very hardy, vigorous and is fertile. Does well in cold and hot climates. The flowers are larger and the plant taller than Iris versicolor (blue flag). White with violet blue lines and a bright yellow signal at the centre of the falls.
