JANE'S PALETTE EM 12" This iris was chosen and named by family members in memory of Jane Graham, a local artist who often had iris as a focal point or as a detail in her paintings. This is a rich red-black with a velvety surface texture and dark blue beards. Style arms are light violet providing an interesting detail. Strong sweet perfume. LEPRECHAUN'S PURSE `99 M 12" Very light cream with hint of a green tint. Falls have the gold coin that you would expect to find inside a leprechaun's purse. Mrs Leprechaun has decorated the top of the purse (standards) with pastel green midribs and uniquely scalloped edges. Beards are light violet, orange in throat. NORTHERN EXPOSURE `02 EM 11", EM. Creamy yellow standard w/green tint. Falls are warm white w/ very light blue plicata wash, stippling and dotting of falls. Dark yellow-brown haft lines. PARADIGM SHIFT EM 13" Blue plicata on standards and yellow plicata on falls. Standards have violet plicata dots and dashes on white ground in centre of falls with wide pale yellow rim. Falls are heavily covered with yellow dots and dashes on white ground often without any violet or blue present. Beards are white tipped yellow. Under currently accepted theories of plicata genetics, this flower is impossible. This flower clearly shows that plicata genes do not control just anthocyanin pigment, hence the thinking about plicata genetics need to undergo a “paradigm shift”. RUBY ERUPTION `97 ML & Re12" Standards are heavily marked very dark ruby red (almost red-black) over glowing bright yellow ground. Falls are bright glowing yellow blending to light yellow centres; wide dark ruby plicata edge and very narrow yellow rim. Cream beards with dark orange tips. Bright dramatic colours pull you from across the garden. Wide, ruffled, good substance. RUBY PASSION `04 M 11" A very elegant flower with rich colours. Dark ruby red-black standards, rounded and domed. Falls have dark ruby red-black plicata stripes and solid edge on bright yellow ground. Orange beard. This is an excellently shaped ruffled flower. SPIRIT GUIDE `03 EM13” A pastel ringed plicata. Standards light yellow washed violet in centre and at base. Falls are veined tan-yellow at haft and around rim. WEE GRANNY SMITH `05 EM 10" The green colour of this is difficult to capture and the photo doesn't fully do it justice. Excellent flower form and substance in this child of Klingon Princess. The chartreuse green is contrasted nicely with the blue beard. (Klingon Princess X Sheldon Butts) .....$7.50
